THE BAND

Fresh Heir has been cranking out high energy music rooted in funk, soul and hip-hop since their inception in 2007.  Originally founded by drummer/vocalist Nick Savage and keys/keybassist/vocalist Ryan Marquez the group has developed their sound over the last 8 years into one that is familiar musically to the modern listener while lyrically incorporating a conscious positive twist.

Drawing upon influences from musical groups such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Roots and John Legend the band creates their own eclectic “pop” sound. Connecting the body, mind, and spirit, Fresh Heirs' music keeps their audiences moving while they deliver meaningful words of encouragement in three part harmony over a high energy musical platform.

The group latest release “All Up From Here” (2015) speaks on Love and encouraging their listeners to follow their dreams.

While Fresh Heir has performed in many different environments throughout the years, playing original music has always been the focal point of the groups mission. Stylizing an uplifting mix of Pop, Soul, and Rock the St. Louis journeymen, have been making unique waves since their start.

Fresh Heir has achieved success on the local, regional, and international level. Known as one of the hardest working and well supported groups in St. Louis, their music keeps their fans appetite wet by utilizing horn riffs reminiscent of the 70’s soul/funk scene, blazing guitar/key solos and vocals with a message of self empowerment.

The group has been awarded  “Best Jam Band” multiple years by The Riverfront Times and have been frequent visitors on Fox 2 news. If you’ve ever listened to KDHX, STL’s #1 local community supported radio, chances are you’ve heard the band being spun while the weekly calendar of events are read.

On the regional level, Fresh Heir has entertained larger scale venues like the Pageant (St. Louis) and the Metro (Chicago) as well as larger outdoor festivals such as the Taste of St. Louis, Iowa City Jazz Festival and 10,000 Lakes Festival (MN).

In 2009, the group went international, touring European countries such as England, Germany and Kosovo where they were inspired to write and record their first vocal driven record “The Sky’s The Limit". Fresh Heir’s debut album hit the streets in January 2010 and has since been through multiple printings.

The band is gearing up for another world tour in support of their lastest release "All Up From Here" (available for purchase on Itunes). Check back often as the band wil be continually updating information about tour, events and new merchandise.
